What fernando torres told Alvaro morata before he joined the blues...

After Antonio Conte deemed Diego Costa surplus to requirement, Chelsea were linked with a host of strikers before eventually securing the services of Morata. He joined in a deal worth £58 million, and Fernando Torres believes his former club have one of the best strikers in Europe. And before swapping the Spanish capital for the English capital, Torres spoke with the player about the move while always being there for him if needed. "I spoke with him (Morata) before he joined Chelsea and told him I would be always on the phone if he needed any advice or if I could help him," Torres said via Metro. Though following his six Premier League goals, including his first hat-trick for Chelsea over the weekend, Torres claims Morata clearly doesn't need any advice. "Looking at the start he has made it doesn't look like he needs any advice at all - already he is playing well and scoring goals." Torres adds: "Chelsea have one of the best strikers in Europe - and I am sure he is going to win trophies with them." Morata is filling the void left by Costa pretty well, and Torres has also spoke about him re-signing with Atletico Madrid as the pair are reunited. "It is good for everybody that a solution has been found," Torres said on the Costa transfer saga via The Daily Star. "It is of course good for Diego but also for Atletico and Chelsea as well. "It is never good for these matters to drag on and now it has been concluded everybody can just look forward. "Hopefully Chelsea fans can look back at how important Diego's goals were to them winning two Premier League titles and that is the memories they will have of him. Atletico Madrid host Chelsea tonight in the Champions League.
