KUWTK': Kim Kardashian Mocks Scott Disick for Taking Bella Thorne to Cannes: 'They Looked So Desperate'

Scott Disick has never handled his breakup with Kourtney Kardashian particularly well, but on Monday's Keeping Up With the Kardashians, viewers got a look at just how crazy their relationship drama can get. In an effort to get out of Los Angeles and take in some foreign culture, Kourtney decided to fly to France for the annual Cannes Film Festival, where she'd also get a chance to enjoy an idyllic getaway with her new man, Younes Bendjima. But for Scott, the trip seemed to be more of a slap in the face, and he went a little too far with his reaction to the news that Kourtney was going on a romantic getaway. "We got into like, a full war," Kourtney revealed to her sisters, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, recounting a series of phone calls and text message conversations the former couple had recently had. "He was like, 'You're gonna have a great time,'" Kourtney said, imitating Scott's sarcastic tone. "And then he's threatening me now. H

Guardiola hails Man City’s magnificent seven

Image
Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City produced the best performance of his reign in their swaggering 7-2 thrashing of Stoke City on Saturday. Kevin De Bruyne was outstanding, producing two assists and playing a part in three more goals as City scored seven goals for the first time since Guardiola took charge in July 2016. It was the first time City had scored that many in a league match since defeating Norwich 7-0 in November 2013, with Gabriel Jesus scoring twice, and further goals from Raheem Sterling, David Silva, Fernandinho, Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva. Victory put City two points clear at the top of the Premier League, and left Guardiola struggling to find fault, although he was disappointed that his side conceded goals either side of half-time, with Stoke’s first from Mame Biram Diouf, and the second a Kyle Walker own goal. “You can always do better but I cannot deny that today was the best performance since I arrived here. We played a good 45 minutes, and maybe more than

But in a chat with Sunday Scoop, she explained why she decided to celebrate her special day that way. She said, “Growing up as a little child, I always had to celebrate my birthday like that. Instead of cake, my parents would only provide biscuits and I would hold a knife to it as if I was cutting a real cake. It wasn’t until I was five years old that I celebrated my birthday with a cake for the first time. I was so overjoyed at that and the memory still lingers. I was going through my childhood pictures this year when I saw a picture of me ‘cutting’ biscuit on my birthday and it brought back all the sweet memories of my childhoo

Evans, has petitioned the Police Service Commission, calling for the probe of the policemen who handled the case of his client. Ogungbeje, in a petition dated October 13, 2017, alleged that members of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team, which handled the case, abused their position to extort his client. According to him, the team of police investigators, led by Mr. Abba Kyari, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, “forcefully and corruptly extorted” from Evans cash in local and foreign currency as well as various items including phones, wrist watches, jewellery, television, cars and trucks. Ogungbeje claimed that the policemen forcefully took N50m from Evans, while his wife was also forced to part with another N5m. Gospel music has evolved in Nigeria –Von Iyke

Budding gospel singer, Victor Onuabuobi, aka Von Iyke, believes that even though secular artistes are more popular, gospel artistes in the country have also made giant strides over the years. In a chat with Sunday Scoop, he said, “I would like to start by saying that I bless God for what He is doing in the Nigerian gospel music industry today. It has really evolved over the years and to the glory of God, we have world-class gospel acts who have made and paved the way for upcoming artistes like myself to have a solid foundation on which we can carry on the mission. My mission in the industry is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ through the instrumentality of music and by the grace of God, reach out to the hearts of people by uplifting them with spirit-edifying songs of praise and worship.” Speaking on his new song, You are God, he said, “This song was written from a heart that is so overwhelmed by the immense power of God. It is really an ode to the King of kings, and to remind th

Monkeypox: DHQ breaks silence on allegations against Nigerian military

Image
Nigeria’s Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has urged Nigerians to disregard allegations about the spread of Monkeypox through military medical outreach. Director of Defence Information, Major General John Enenche, in a statement on Saturday explained that the medical exercise in the South East was a normal medical operation that had been replicated in other parts of the country. He said the Armed Forces of Nigeria has been in the global best military practice of impacting on the lives of Nigerians through medical outreaches. “In this regard, quick impact medical outreaches are usually conducted during deliberate operations such as the war against insurgency and terrorism in the North East and routine training exercise like Egwu Eke II in the South East among others” the statement read. “Particularly, the Nigerian Army on several occasions as afore-stated carried out medical outreaches in virtually all the geo-political zones of Nigeria without any observation in the past. “The same goes

Monkeypox’: Anxiety As 13 Patients Now Affected, Quarantined In Bayelsa

Image
The number of patients reported to be receiving treatment for the communicable monkey pox, which broke out in Yenagoa, has risen from 11 to 13, newsmen report. The 13 patients, including a medical doctor and a 17-year-old boy suspected to be infected with the monkeypox virus currently isolated at the Niger Delta University Teaching Hospital (NDUTH), are responding to treatment and are at various stages of recovery. Prof. Ebitimitula Etebu, Bayelsa Commisioner for Health, who addressed a news conference on Friday, along with his Information counterpart, Mr Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said that there was no cause for alarm as the state had taken steps to curtail further spread. Etebu had on Thursday put the figure of affected patients at 11. The commissioner said that more than 50 others, who had contact with the quarantined patients, had been traced and placed under surveillance. He however, added that two of the infected patients earlier isolated, had been treated and discharged. NAN rec

Arsenal signing sends message to Gunners fans about Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez

Image
The Gunners are facing a battle to keep hold of their two prized assets with the January transfer window already starting to loom on the horizon. Ozil and Sanchez have both entered the final 12 months of their current deals and neither Arsenal player appears likely to sign a new contract at the north London club. Unsurprisingly, the Chile international has been heavily linked with a January move to Manchester City after his proposed summer transfer fell through on deadline day. Ozil wasn’t linked with many clubs during the summer but recent reports have suggested that Manchester United could look to reunite the World Cup winner with his ex Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho. Arsenal are in fifth place in the Premier League table following a return of three victories and one stalemate in their last four top-flight outings. Summer signing Kolasinac insisted that Ozil and Sanchez haven’t upset the atmosphere at the FA Cup holders despite the continued uncertainty surrounding their long-t

The Rise And Fall Of Nnamdi Kanu, By Shaka Momodu

The Rise And Fall Of Nnamdi Kanu, By Shaka Momodu skytrendnews.com Oct 13, 2017 12:24 PM NNAMDI KANU, REFERENDUM, SENSELESS WAR Leader Of Biafra Seperatist Group, Nnamdi kanu. Credits: NAN I watched some videos of Nnamdi Kanu inspecting a guard of honour formed by his Biafran Security Service and the Biafran National Guard in military uniform recently. It gave me the chills. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he hoisted the Biafran flag, flaunted a Biafran passport and a coat of arms, etc. There is a video of him openly soliciting for money at the World Igbo Congress in Los Angeles in the U.S. to buy arms to fight Nigeria in 2015 before his arrest. Effectively, Kanu had created a sovereign state within a sovereign state. I don’t know any country in the world that would accept or condone this frontal challenge to its security and sovereignty. Certainly not the United States of America, not the United Kingdom or France. Did the Brits and the Yanks expect the Nigerian state to sit idly by as

Nnamdi Kanu's whereabouts finally discovered

Image
In the aftermath of controversies over the whereabouts of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, the Defence Headquarters on Friday said it had no knowledge of his whereabouts. The army had kept a dignified silence over the location of the IPOB boss despite allegations by his lawyer that the army knew his whereabouts or may have been killed. The IPOB leader was last seen on September 14 when clashes occurred between members of his group and soldiers on an army exercise “Operation Python Dance” in Abia State. Premium Times however quoted Defence spokesperson , John Enenche, in an interaction with journalists in Abuja on Friday as saying neither the military nor any security agency can be held responsible for the missing IPOB leader. Mr. Enenche, a major general, also denied allegations that the military raided the home of Mr. Kanu in Abia State. “I watched the operations live. I also got first-hand information from our men on the ground. For the records,

With last night’s performance, Wizkid became the first African artiste to headline a show and sell out the Royal Albert Hall. The Royal Albert described Wiz as a globally adored music superstar and last night’s accomplishment has now become another feather in his hugely embellished cap. Up until 22 September, Wizkid’s collaborative track with Drake ‘One Dance’ was the most streamed song on Spotify, a feat that earned him a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. The Royal Albert Hall with a capacity of a little over 5,000 filled up with fans while thousands of others streamed live on Wizkid’s Facebook

UK Recognises IPOB as a Legitimate Group, as they demand Nnamdi Kanu from Federal Government

Image
The United Kingdom has asked the Nigerian g vernment to comment on the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. The Press Officer, UK High Commission in Nigeria, Joe Abuku, disclosed that Britain already made an official inquiry about Kanu. “We are seeking urgent clarification from the Nigerian authorities about the status and whereabouts of Mr. Kanu, a British-Nigerian man, who has been reported missing since September 14,” Abuku told Punch. Asked if the UK would strip Kanu of citizenship on account of the declaration by Nigeria that he was leading a terrorist organisation, the mission said it does not comment on individual cases. “One of the conditions that can make the United Kingdom strip its citizen of nationality is if the person engages in a terrorist activity at home or abroad. And Kanu has dual citizenship and therefore a citizen of Nigeria and the UK,” the mission stated. On whether UK supported the Nigerian government’

"Stop spreading lies and face your own state", says Jonathan to Okorocha

Image
Former Nigeria President, Goodluck Jonathan has denied claims by the Imo State Governor, Rochas okorocha that he (Jonathan) demanded his favour so as to win the Southeast zone during the 2015 General Election. In a statement issued by the spokesman to the ex-President, Ikechukwu Eze, he stated that no bribe was offered to Okorocha to deliver the Southeast zone to him. Besides, he appealed to the Imo State Governor, to focus on the successful administration of his State and avoid being drawn into issues that could affect him. “In the first place, it sounded irrational and absurd. Besides, it was obvious to all and sundry that the south-east, being Dr Jonathan’s political stronghold, the ex-President did not need Okorocha to win in the zone. “However, to set the record straight, we make bold to say that former President Jonathan never made any contact with Okorocha, ahead of the 2015 elections. “All those who had either worked closely with him in any capacity or served in Jonathan’

INEC withdraws motion for substituted service

Image
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has withdrawn its motion seeking an order of the Federal High Court in Abuja allowing it to serve the recall petition on Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, through substituted means rather than personal service. Justice Nnamdi Dimgba struck out the motion after INEC’s lawyer, Mr. Yunus Ustaz (SAN), announced its withdrawal in court on Thursday. Ustaz also maintained on Thursday that Melaye had been “dodging” service, as an attempt by the INEC to serve Melaye during the Senate’s plenary on Tuesday also failed. The judge also directed that all issues pertaining to the case should thereafter be taken to the Court of Appeal. He noted that since Melaye’s appeal against the court’s September 11 judgment of the court had been entered at the Court of Appeal, all pending applications, including the ones filed by Melaye for stay of execution of the verdict, should be taken to the Court of Appeal. INEC had on September 15, filed the ex parte motio

Neymar's Instagram post after Bayern Munich win proves Edinson Cavani feud is over

Image
Neymar and Edinson Cavani put their supposed feud to bed last night as they helped Paris Saint-Germain defeat Bayern Munich in convincing fashion. Not only did both players score but they looked pleased when the other one did so, although some attempted to portray Neymar’s decision not to immediately celebrate with Cavani after the Uruguayan’s goal as proof that something was still wrong. But the duo were seen holding hands as they cheered the home crowd at full-time, further evidence that their rift was actually not much of a rift at all. Unai Emery would much prefer the focus to be on his whole team after PSG showed that everybody should take them seriously in this season’s Champions League. Dani Alves scored in the second minute following Neymar’s spectacular run and Cavani made it 2-0 on the half hour mark when he thumped the ball home from outside the area. The incredible Kylian Mbappe, who provided the assist for Cavani’s goal, made a mockery of David Alaba before teeing up
